Custom Design in Gate City, VA.

From single pieces to full crew runs, Gate City gets designed from scratch gear with honest pricing and a 5 to 7 day door-to-door timeline.

Custom Design delivered to Gate City

In-house designers turn napkin sketches and old low-res logos into print-ready vector art. Free with every order, proof in 24 hours. For Gate City, that comes with published pack pricing and door delivery in 5 to 7 business days.

Gate City is home to about 2,000 people across 4.0 square miles, and every one of those addresses is inside our standard 5 to 7 day delivery window. The same run covers the neighboring communities too: Weber City, VA (2 mi), Bloomingdale, TN (6 mi), Hiltons, VA (6 mi) all order from the same shop at the same published pricing. The closest major installation is Fort Knox, roughly 202 miles out, and unit orders from there run through this same process daily.

The whole process runs remote: rough idea in, free designer-built proof back, written approval, and finished gear delivered to Gate City.

Because Weber City sits only 2 miles from Gate City, joint orders across town lines are common here: one proof, one pack price, two delivery stops if needed.

What Gate City gets designed from scratch

Logo cleanup and vector redraws

Faded, blurry, or tiny source art gets redrawn into crisp vectors. Deadlines get treated like formation times, not suggestions.

Unit crest and emblem builds

Unit art drawn right the first time, with anything trademark-sensitive flagged early. The proof comes first and it is free, so what arrives is exactly what you signed off on.

Full designs from a written idea

A sentence of description is enough input for a full designed proof inside a day. The second order takes two minutes because the first one is archived down to the thread color.

Era-correct type and layouts

The year on the shirt sets the type style, and the team knows the difference. Ask for the honest option and you get it, even when it is the cheaper one.

Event artwork packages

Shirts, banners, and signage drawn as one matched system. Bring a rough idea, even a phone photo of a whiteboard, and our designers make it print ready at no charge.

Merch line concepts

A tight little product line, designed to move at the table. Reorders match the first run exactly because we keep your art and specs on file.

Why order from a shop built for the military community

We print for units, veterans, and military families every day, and the discipline transfers. Gate city customers get straight answers on dates, a named person on their order, and work we would put our own name on.

Part of the job is refusing bad orders. When the art, the garment, or the date is wrong, saying so before you pay is the service.

Build it on the real garment and watch the price calculate live.

Upload art or add text in the Design Lab, set sizes and quantities, and the full estimate, shipping included, is on screen before you give anyone your email.

04 //

What to print it on

Garment choice makes or breaks the order. These are the blanks Gate City customers pick most, all designable online on real product photos.

Classic Cotton Tee

New designs debut on the Classic: 80-plus colors guarantee the right backdrop for the art. Start from a napkin sketch if that is what you have. Turning rough into print ready is the job.

Premium Heavyweight Tee

When the design is the product, the garment dyed heavyweight makes it feel like a brand, not a handout. Mixed sizes and colors in one run are standard here, not a special request.

Max Heavyweight Street Tee

Max weight, boxy drop, oversized print field: the streetwear formula. Mixed sizes and colors in one run are standard here, not a special request.

No artwork? That is the normal case

Half the orders we take begin as a phone photo of a sketch, an old shirt, or a sentence describing the idea. A designer turns that into print-ready vector art at no charge, sends the proof inside 24 hours, and revises it until you sign off in writing. Nothing is produced before that signature, which is why what shows up matches what you expected.

Prefer hands-on? Build the design yourself in the Design Lab on real product photos, with the running price on screen while you work.

What it costs

The table below is the actual price list Gate City customers order from, light cotton tee, front print included, no asterisks.

PiecesTotalEachShipBack print add
10 pieces$180$18 ea$18$4 ea
15 pieces$250$16.67 ea$18$4 ea
20 pieces$320$16 ea$20.99$4 ea
25 pieces$375$15 ea$20.99$3 ea
50 pieces$700$14 ea$22.99$2 ea
100 pieces$1200$12 eaFREE$2 ea

Add-on pricing is deliberately boring: back print per the table (later $3, then $2), oversize front $3 or $2 by volume, extended sizes $6 or $4 by volume. That is the complete list, and the Design Lab computes it live before any quote is written.

How it works, start to finish

01

Brief

The first step is just getting the idea out of your head: type it into the quote form or mock it up in the Design Lab, rough edges and all.

02

Proof

Within 24 hours you have a proof in your inbox, drawn to size, on the garment and color you picked. Revisions are unlimited and free.

03

Approve

You approve in writing before production starts. No surprises at the box opening, because you already saw the shirt.

04

Print and ship

Five to seven business days covers printing and delivery. Tight timeline? Rush gets a truthful quote, not a hopeful one.

05

Reorder

We archive your art and garment specs, which makes the second order a two minute conversation.

08 //

Shipping and turnaround

Every order ships tracked to Gate City addresses with standard production plus shipping at 5 to 7 business days. Free shipping kicks in at 100 pieces, and pack shipping rates below that are published, not surprises at checkout.

Every box leaves counted, tracked, and matched to your roster. Shortages and shipping damage are on us to fix, fast, because delivery day is the only day the customer remembers.

Common questions

How long does shipping take?

Five to seven business days, all in, from approval to arrival. Rush exists for real deadlines and gets an honest yes or no up front.

Do you help with the design?

Design help is included free. Whatever you have, a napkin sketch, a faded shirt photo, a sentence, becomes a print-ready proof from a real designer within 24 hours.

Can you handle a large order for your Gate City crew?

Large runs are the core business: hundreds of pieces, mixed sizes, multiple colors, one named contact who owns it from first proof to the delivery scan.

How do 2XL and larger sizes work?

Extended sizes carry a flat per-piece add: $6 when the order is under 25 pieces, $4 once it reaches 25. The estimate in the Design Lab applies it for you.

What is your return policy?

Due to custom orders, all work is finalized and no returns are accepted. Double check sizing and artwork before submitting your order. Every order gets a free proof first, and nothing prints until you approve it in writing.

Is there a minimum order?

The minimum order is 10 pieces. Your gate city crew can order ten today and a hundred next month; the packs just make each piece cheaper as the count grows.

What file types work best?

File quality is our problem, not yours: vectors are ideal, 300 DPI PNGs work, and weak files get redrawn at no charge.
